Referring to street dance styles primarily performed to hip-hop music, or that evolved as part of hip-hop culture, hip-hop dance includes a wide range of styles such breaking, locking and popping, which were created in the 70's and popularized by dance crews in the United States.

A distinguishing feature of hip-hop is that it is often improvisational, or freestyle, in nature, with dancers engaging in freestyle dance competitions, colloquially referred to as battles.

With high-energy pace, and continuously evolving nature, hip-hop is the perfect choice for those who simply want to keep fit and enjoy themselves, as well as more serious dancers who would like to pursue a professional and international dancing career.
